# Groups

Groups that your bot has been added to will display on the groups page.

TIP

If you've created your GroupBot bot after adding your bot to your groups, GroupBot will detect your bots' presence inside those groups when the first message is received in that group.

The bot's permissions will also be displayed and depending on it's group membership status you'll be able to configure your groups further.

WARNING

You'll need to make your bot an admin on the groups you wish it to manage.

# Managed groups

You can choose whether you'd like your bot to manage the group or not. Managed groups refer to the bot restricting access to users for a particular group or not.

Unmanaged groups can still be used as forwarding groups for actions.

# Restrictions

You can use the Invite All switch to allow all registered members into a group.

If not set, you'll need to use one or both of the other restrcition options.

TIP

You can use the AND/OR option to determine whether a user should be inside the geofence and/or in your restrict file.

# Geofences

Here you can select the geofence/s to use to geographically restrict your group members.

# Restrict file

A restrict file is a simple CSV file that contains the cell (mobile) numbers of the users that you wish to allow into a group.
